The details
Every HykuUP repository runs the same Hyku software, gets every upgrade we ship, and is protected from the bot traffic that now hits every open repository. Scroll comes with our standard support, including a response within four hours, day or night, if your repository goes down, and a monthly report on how it’s running. Leaflet is a lighter plan for small collections: support comes by ticket on business days, with five hours a year included and no phone or live support.
Scroll includes 1 TB of storage. Past that, each extra terabyte is $60 a month, so a growing collection never forces you into a new plan. Storage counts the original files you upload; the thumbnails, viewer images, and streaming copies Hyku makes from them are on us. Enrollment and FTE don’t enter into it.
If you want faster turnaround on everyday requests or more hours from our team, enhanced support is available, but you shouldn’t need it.
Very large collections
Every repository gets its own search index. If yours will hold an unusually large number of items or expects heavy public traffic, we’ll talk through search capacity with you before you sign.
Consortia
Groups of institutions can share one agreement that covers a set number of repositories. Those arrangements are quoted; get in touch to talk one through.
